A 24-year-old woman was arrested and a man is still at large after the two committed fraud at Walmart in Cottonwood. Police say the two were in Walmart Monday at around 11 a.m. when the male took electronic equipment off the shelf and met up with a female in another part of the store and handed it to her. She then took a receipt and the item to try and “return” it. Both people left the store before police arrived. Police say Aubre Alvey was seen running away from the store near Rio Mesa Trail and was taken into custody. The male suspect is still at large, but was recognized on the store’s surveillance video. Alvey has been booked on crimes related to the incident and also had a felony probation violation warrant. She is in the Yavapai County Detention Center.
