One Killed, Another Injured After A Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident In Prescott Valley Saturday

A man was killed and a woman was injured after a vehicle/pedestrian accident Christmas night on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley. Police say the accident happened at around 11:41 p.m., when a man was walking in the roadway on Glassford Hill Road, jumping in front of vehicles. While responding to the call, the man reportedly was hit by a northbound vehicle. Also a second pedestrian was also hit by a different vehicle in the area. Investigators say a 38-year-old man was hit by the first vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old Prescott Valley woman. The driver’s 21-year-old sister was a passenger in the vehicle and got out to help the man. That’s when she was hit by a second northbound vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Prescott Valley man, who was trying to avoid hitting the man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman hit was taken to a Phoenix area hospital in stable condition. The drivers of the two vehicles were unhurt. Glassford Hill Road was closed for around six-hours for the on-scene investigation.
