One person was injured in an early morning collision in Prescott Wednesday. Officers and Prescott Fire crews responded to the scene at the intersection of State Route 89 and State Route 89A at around 6:52 a.m. Investigators say that a 69-year-old Chino Valley man was traveling southbound in a 2000 Subaru Forester on State Route 89 when he ran a red light at the intersection of 89A. The driver hit the driver’s side of a 46-year-old Prescott Valley resident, driving a 2019 Honda CRV, who was heading eastbound across 89. The driver of the CRV was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained substantial damage and were towed from the scene. The driver of the Subaru was cited for a red light violation.
