Thousands of fentanyl pills, along with pounds of cocaine and marijuana, were seized during a traffic stop Tuesday on Interstate-17 near Cordes Junction. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a white 2016 Dodge Ram, with Ohio plates, at around 5:15 a.m. for speeding and failing to maintain a lane of travel. The driver was identified as 39-year-old Crystal Briley from Ohio. Briley was nervous during her discussion with the deputy, plus the deputy could detect an overwhelming odor of marijuana. She denied a search of her truck, so a K9 was called in to do a free air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle. The dog alerted deputies to an odor. A search was the conducted and more than 280 pounds of marijuana, four pounds of cocaine and around eight-thousand fentanyl pills were found. Briley denied they were hers. She was arrested and booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on drug charges. Bond has been set at $500-thousand.
