There have been five more deaths and additional positive cases of COVID-19 on the Navajo Nation. Tribal health officials say there have been 25 new cases since Monday, raising the total to 838. The additional deaths make the number 33 who have passed away due to COVID-19. Of the positive cases, there are 270 in Navajo County, 166 in Coconino County and 107 in Apache County. There are 282 cases on the reservation in New Mexico and 11 in Utah. President Jonathan Nez says the are planning for additional weekend curfews for the next three weekends. Nez says health officials are producing quicker test results, which could cause daily numbers to spike.
