Northern Arizona Healthcare has donated over 48-thousand masks to the Flagstaff Unified School District. Flagstaff Medical Center officials say they were happy to help out FUSD after the district went to a mask mandate earlier this month. “Flagstaff Medical Center is grounded in the community, and we know that the community is our foundation. I do encourage other organizations in our communities to reach out to request support if needed,” says NAH Vice President of Operations Matt Sena. He adds, “NAH might not be able to deliver on every request, but there is a whole hospital, and health system, full of experts willing to help.” Kurt Steele, a staff member at FUSD’s superintendent office, helped Sena unload the 48-thousand masks with the hope that it will offer relief to students, parents and staff across the district, especially during the uncertainty of what is going to happen with COVID-19.
