The North Rim of the Grand Canyon will begin day-use operations on October 19th and will close for the season on November 30th or after the first major snowfall if prior to that day. The Grand Canyon Lodge will close and no overnight accommodations, including camping, will be available to visitors to the North Rim. Visitors after October 19th should plan to be self-sufficient and bring enough food and water for the day. Limited services will be available. The General Store and the Grand Canyon Lodge will offer limited food and retail items while supplies last Wednesdays through Sundays. The self-serve gas station, including diesel, will be available for as long as State Route 67 is open. After October 31st, water will only be available at the North Rim Backcountry Information Center. For more information log onto nps.gov/grca.
