A new survey from Wallethub.com shows Flagstaff around the middle of the pack when it comes to their “2022 Best and Worst College Cities and Towns In America” report. The survey looked at 30 key indicators, including academic and social and economic opportunities for students. Wallethub ranked cities and towns, one through 415. Flagstaff came in at 223 on the survey. Flagstaff scored high in social environment, which was ranked 70th. However it should come as no surprise that “Wallet Friendliness” and “Academic and Economic Opportunities” scored low, especially when you talk about economics. Flagstaff was 276 in wallet friendliness and 316 in academic and economic opportunities. Other Arizona cities on the survey include Scottsdale ranked seventh, Tempe at 21, Tucson at 47, Chandler at 49, Mesa at 76, Peoria at 113, Glendale at 197 and Phoenix, last among Arizona cities and towns at 234. The worst city on the list is Compton, California. The best city is Austin, Texas.
