NAU Women’s Hoops Beats UNLV In Their Home Opener Wednesday

The NAU women’s basketball team led 29-17 after the first quarter and never looked back as the Jacks led start to finish to beat the UNLV Running Rebels, 84-62 Wednesday night. Khiarica Rasheed led the Jacks with 24 points and nine rebounds and Emily Rodabaugh came off the bench to register a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds in the win. Lauren Orndoff scored 15 points and Regan Schenck dished out 11 assists in the first win of the season and the home opener at the Rolle Activity Center. The Jacks shot 58-percent from the floor and held previously unbeaten UNLV to 34-percent shooting. The Jacks will travel to El Paso, Texas to take on the UTEP Miners Saturday night in their last game before Thanksgiving. Tip time is at 7 p.m.
