The NAU women’s basketball team battled, but couldn’t pull off the upset as they fell to top-seeded Montana State, 76-71 in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament in Boise, Idaho. Nina Radford led the Jacks with 21 points and Lauren Ordoff added 13 points in the loss. NAU’s two leading scorers during the season Jacey Bailey and Khairica Rasheed were a combined 5-of-22 from the field and the Jacks committed 20 turnovers against the Bobcats. The Jacks finish the season with a 16-14 mark. There’s a chance the Jacks could play in a postseason tournament, but that depends if supplemental tournaments will still be played.
