NAU Women Fall To Montana In The Dome Opener Saturday

The NAU Women’s basketball team opened their 2019-2020 Big Sky Conference season Saturday in the Skydome against Montana. The Lumberjacks fell to the Lady Griz, 79-71. Montana used tough defense and balanced shooting in the paint to get the win. Emily Rodabaugh led the Jacks with 19 points and Khiarica Rasheed added 15 points in the loss. Mckenzie Johnston led the Lady Griz with 26 points and Gabi Harrington had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Montana improves to 6-4 overall and 1-0 in the Big Sky, while NAU falls to 3-7 on the season and 0-1 in conference. The Jacks will return to action in the Skydome Monday night when they take on the Montana State Bobcats. Tip time is at 6:30 p.m.
