The NAU men’s and women’s basketball teams were back in action Thursday night. The women had to battle for three quarters, but pulled away in the fourth as they beat Weber State, 82-70, at the Rolle Activity Center. The game was sloppy on both sides. Weber State committed 25 fouls and 25 turnovers, while NAU committed 21 fouls and 20 turnovers. J.J. Nakai led the Jacks with 20 points on four-of-six shooting from three-point range. Regan Schenck added 17 in the win. The two teams meet again Saturday at the Rolle Activity Center at noon. The men played their first game in almost three weeks after missing five games due to COVID-19. The Lumberjacks were rusty as they fell to Weber State, 92-59, in Ogden. Cameron Shelton led the Jacks with 21 points and Luke Avdalovic added 12 points in the loss. Isiah Brown led Weber State with 31 points, 20 coming in the first half. The two teams will meet again Saturday at noon in Ogden.
