NAU Women Beat Montana, Advances To The Big Sky Semifinals

The NAU women’s basketball team is on to the Big Sky semifinals after a 68-65 win over the Montana Grizzlies in the Big Sky Conference Tournament in Boise, Idaho. Lauren Orndoff led the Jacks with 17 points and Khiarica Rasheed had a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds in the win. The last time NAU advanced to the Big Sky Conference Tournament semifinals was in 2007 and had previously lost nine straight tournament games. The Jacks will take on top-seeded Montana State Wednesday afternoon at around 4 p.m., immediately following the NAU-Idaho State men’s game in the first round of the men’s Big Sky Conference Tournament. That game starts around 1:30 p.m.
