NAU professor Marti Canipe will try to advance to the finals of the “Jeopardy’s Professors Tournament” Tuesday. In her first round of the competition, it came down to “Final Jeopardy” where the category was “Old Geographic Names.” Canipe got the answer right, and the other two contestants got the answer wrong, giving Canipe the win with $13,400. Canipe is competing for grand prize of $100-thousand and a spot in the game show’s Tournament of Champions. NAU President Jose Luis Cruz Rivera tweeted after the show aired saying, “All Lumberjacks are proud and are rooting for her.” The semifinals will air on Channel 3 Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
