NAU Men’s Hoops Wins Third Straight, Beats UTRGV In Texas Saturday

The NAU men’s basketball team won their third straight game Saturday after they beat the Vaqueros of Texas Rio Grande Valley at South Padre Island, Texas, 89-87. The Vaqueros missed a layup at the buzzer. Jalen Cone had a season high 25 points and seven assists in the win. Nik Mains added 20 and eight rebounds, Carson Towt had 15 points and seven rebounds and Mason Stark had 13 for NAU. The Jacks will now head back home to take on UTRGV again Monday, this time at the Rolle Activity Center in Flagstaff. The game will tipoff at 6 p.m. with the pregame show at 5:30 on KAFF Country 93.5/AM 930 in Flagstaff and Fun Oldies 97.9 in Prescott.
