Senior Xavier Fuller scored 25 points to lead NAU to a 83-73 win over Northern Colorado Saturday, to snap a five-game losing streak. NAU went on a 15-2 run with around four minutes left in the first half and finished the half on a 7-0 run to lead the Bears at halftime, 42-23. The Bears opened the half on a 14-1 run to cut the NAU lead to seven, but then NAU went on a 7-0 run to lead the rest of the way and get the win. Jalen Cone added 13 points and Trent McLaughlin chipped in with 12 points in the win for the Lumberjacks. NAU hits the road next week as they take on the Montana State Bobcats Thursday night and the Montana Grizzlies Saturday night. NAU beat the Griz, and fell to the Bobcats about a month ago in Flagstaff.
