The NAU men’s basketball opened up the Big Sky Conference season on the road Saturday night in Missoula, Montana against the Montana Grizzlies. The Jacks had a six point lead at halftime, but couldn’t hang on as they fell to the Griz, 79-72. Cameron Shelton led the Jacks with 17 points and nine rebounds and Ted McCree added 15 in the loss. NAU was without forward Brooks DeBisschop, who sat out the game with an ankle injury. Sayeed Pridgett led all scorers with 27 points and ten rebounds in the win for Montana. The Jacks will head to Bozeman to take on the Montana State Bobcats Monday night. Tip time is at 7 p.m.
