NAU Men Win, Women Lose In A Double Header In Prescott Valley Sunday

The NAU men’s basketball team was victorious, but the women’s team wasn’t after a double header in the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley Sunday. The Lumberjacks men’s team led Nebraska-Omaha 45-20 at halftime and held off the Mavericks, winning 73-65. Cameron Shelton led the Jacks with 20 points in the win. Ted McRee added 17 points and Cameron Satterwhite and Bernie Andre added ten points a piece for NAU. Andre pulled down 13 rebounds for the Jacks. In the women’s game, Jacey Bailey and Khiarica Rasheed each scored 13, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to the UC-Davis Aggies, 71-61. The women will head to Hawaii to compete in the Maui Jim Maui Classic next week. They will take on the fifth-ranked Oregon State Beavers next Wednesday night. The men are 4-2 on the season and are off until Saturday when they head to Orem, Utah to battle the Utah Valley Wolverines. Tip time for the men is at 7:30 p.m.
