The NAU men’s basketball team got a big win over Southern Utah Saturday, the women lost on the road in Big Sky action Saturday. On the men’s side, after a lackluster effort against Northern Colorado Thursday, the Lumberjacks shook it off and picked up a big win over Southern Utah, 82-69 in the Skydome. Cameron Shelton scored 26 points and Brooks Debisschop added a career-high 21 points and ten rebounds in the win for NAU. The Jacks now go on the road to Idaho and Eastern Washington. Thursday’s game against the Vandals starts at 7:30 p.m. On the women’s side, Khiarica Rasheed led the Jacks with 21 points and eight rebounds, but the Jacks fell 82-64 at Southern Utah. In the game, Rasheed became the sixth NAU player to score 1,000-points in a career. Jacey Bailey added 17 points and eight rebounds in the loss, for NAU. The Jacks are back in the Skydome Thursday night with a big game against Idaho. Tip time is at 6:30 p.m.
