NAU Kicker Luis Aguilar Named Winner Of The Fred Mitchell Award

NAU junior kicker Luis Aguilar has been named the winner of the 2019 Fred Mitchell Award, which signifies the best place kicker in small college football from FCS to junior colleges. The Nogales native was 22-of-25 on field goals, including kicking field goals from 57 and 54 yards this season. His 57-yard field goal against Northern Colorado on October 5th was the longest in the FCS this season. He was a perfect 52-of-52 in extra points and led the country in 61 kickoffs that resulted in touchbacks. Aguilar was also named first-team FCS All-American by HERO Sports.
