Northern Arizona University will implement a tuition freeze for 84-percent of the student population for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Arizona Board of Regents approved the school’s recommendation Thursday. Resident undergraduate and graduate tuition rates on the mountain campus and statewide will hold at the current year’s rate. The nonresident undergraduate tuition rate will be set at a rate point-five percent higher than the current rate for incoming students. Graduate rates for nonresident students on the mountain campus and statewide will increase five percent. There will be a modest increase in undergraduate online rates of $20 per credit hour. Graduate online rates will remain the same. There will also be no fee increases for students as well. NAU is also retaining The Pledge Program for the 12th year. The program is an ongoing priority that helps NAU students pay the same tuition for all four years they are a student.
