The NAU Football program released a new spring football schedule Monday. The reason for the re-scheduling is due to Montana, Montana State, Portland State and Northern Colorado deciding not to play Big Sky Conference games due to COVID-19. The Jacks will open the season at home in the Skydome, Saturday February 27th, against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. They will play them again at season’s end in Cedar City, Utah on April 10th. NAU will also play Idaho and Cal Poly in Flagstaff and will go to Eastern Washington and Weber State. The Big Sky Conference champion will head into the FCS Playoffs, where it will feature 16 teams with 11 automatic qualifiers and five at-large berths. The bracket will be announced on Sunday, April 18, with a champion being crowned in Frisco, Texas, on Sunday, May 16. Information on whether or not fans will be able to attend the games will be announced at a later date.
