NAU Flat As They Fall To UC-Davis Wednesday Night At Home

The NAU Lumberjacks men’s basketball team encountered a determined UC-Davis Aggie basketball team that was on a six-game losing streak Wednesday night. The Lumberjacks shooting went cold in the second half as they fell to the Aggies, 85-66, at the Rolle Activity Center. Luke Avdalovic led the Jacks with 17 points. NAU went 2-for-13 from three point range in the second half. Aggies guard Joe Mooney scored 31 of his career-high 35 points in the second half to lead UC-Davis to their first road win on the season. The Aggies shot a blistering 60-percent from the field and 53-percent from three-point range against the Jacks. NAU falls to 3-2 on the season and will try and rebound on Sunday as they take on the Mavericks of Nebraska-Omaha at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. Tip time is at 3 p.m.
