South Dakota scored 17 points in the first and ten in the second quarter as the Coyotes beat the NAU Lumberjacks 34-7, Saturday in the Dakota Dome. The Coyotes led start to finish and controlled the tempo of the game from the beginning. South Dakota had 380 yards of total offense in a balanced attack. NAU fared well offensively as well, but had trouble scoring. The Jacks had 350 yards of total offense in the game. Jeff Widener was 22-of-33 for 202 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Stacy Chukwumezie led the Jacks receiving with nine catches for 95 yards. Hendrix Johnson had 51 yards and the Jacks lone touchdown. NAU will head to Tucson next Saturday night as they take on the Arizona Wildcats.
