NAU Falls To Second-Ranked Montana State On A Last Second Field Goal Saturday

Blake Glessner kicked a 24-yard field goal at the buzzer as second-ranked Montana State escaped Flagstaff Saturday with a 41-38 win over the NAU Lumberjacks on Homecoming. NAU kicker Collin Robbins kicked a 46-yard field goal with 1:05 to play to tie the game at 38 before the Bobcats quickly went down the field to win the game. NAU quarterback R.J. Martinez had the best game of his career as he went 34-of-46 for a career-high 452 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown and caught a pass for a touchdown. NAU wide receiver Coleman Owen had a career-high 196 yards receiving on ten catches and two touchdowns. Hendrix Johnson had 108 yards receiving on seven catches and a touchdown. Both Martinez and Owen had top-ten single game performances in school history. NAU goes on the road for the final time this season as they head to Greeley, Colorado to take on the Northern Colorado Bears Saturday at noon.
