NAU Falls To Portland State In The Regular Season Finale

The NAU men’s basketball team will play in the first round of next week’s Big Sky Conference Tournament after falling to Portland State, 80-66, in their regular season finale Thursday in Portland. Cam Shelton had 27 points, six rebounds and eight assists to lead the Jacks. Bernie Andre added 17 points for NAU in the loss. To get a bye, NAU needed a win and a Montana State loss Thursday. Neither happened. NAU will go into the tournament as the sixth-seed with a 16-13 overall record and a 10-10 mark in conference play. They will play Idaho State Wednesday afternoon at around 1:30 p.m. in Boise.
