NAU Falls To Fourth-Ranked Weber State On The Road Saturday

The NAU Lumberjack football team had a 21-14 lead at halftime, but couldn’t contain Weber State running back Josh Davis as they fell to the Wildcats, 51-28, in Ogden, Utah. Davis finished with 34 carries for 328 yards rushing and four touchdowns. It was the most rushing yards a player has gained in the FCS this season. Weber State finished with 420 yards rushing in the game. NAU quarterback Case Cookus became the school’s all time leading passer for touchdowns with 96. He was 20-34 for 359 yards and four touchdowns in the loss the Wildcats. NAU will come home next week for homecoming as they face the Portland State Vikings. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
