NAU Falls To Eastern Washington In The Big Sky Quarterfinals

The NAU Lumberjacks men’s basketball team battled toe-to-toe with second-seeded Eastern Washington, but couldn’t get the win as the Eagles beat the tenth-seeded Jacks, 66-60, in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament Thursday. Luke Avdalovic led the Lumberjacks with 12 points and didn’t take a three-point shot the entire game. Nik Mains played after injuring his ankle Wednesday and scored 11 points in the loss. NAU shot 75-percent from three Wednesday and just 21-percent Thursday. Four Eagles scored in double figures with Tyler Robinson leading the way with 18. NAU finishes the season with a 6-16 record, but won their first Big Sky Tournament game in six years.
