The NAU Lumberjacks men’s basketball team had a back-and-forth game Saturday night against Utah Valley, but were able to pull away late to beat the Wolverines Saturday night, 79-73, in Orem, Utah. Chris Bowling led the Jacks with 16 points and Ted McCree had 13 points in the win. Brooks Debisschop chipped in with a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. The Jacks had five players in double-figures to improve to 5-2 on the season. NAU was without guard Luke Avdalovic, who missed the game with a concussion. The road trip continues next week, this time to southern California. The Jacks will take on the Highlanders of UC-Riverside Thursday night. Tip time is at 8 p.m.
