NAU Beats Montana In A Nail Biter In The Skydome Thursday Night

Sophomore Cam Shelton hit two free-throws with over two-seconds to go as NAU upset first-place Montana 57-56 in the Skydome Thursday night. The game went back and forth until NAU went on an 8-0 run to close out the game. Bernie Andre led the Jacks with 20 points and Shelton had 15 points and nine rebounds in the win. The Jacks held Montana’s Sayeed Pridgett to a season low eight points. The loss was Montana’s first loss against NAU in eleven straight games and was Montana head coach Travis DeCurie’s first coaching loss against NAU. The Jacks will have another big game Saturday in the Skydome in the regular season home finale against Montana State. Tip time is at 4 p.m.
