The NAU men’s and women’s basketball teams fell to Montana State Saturday. On the men’s side, the Jacks shot cold for most of the game and it cost them as the Bobcats beat NAU, 63-57, in the Skydome. The Jacks shot under 30-percent in the first half, and 32-percent for the game, missing open shots and was just in a funk for most of the game offensively. Cameron Shelton led the Jacks with 21 points and ten rebounds. NAU will finish the regular season on the road in Portland, Oregon against the Portland State Vikings Thursday night. Tip time is at 8 p.m. On the women’s side NAU had a 40-26 lead at halftime against first-place Montana State but couldn’t hang on as the Bobcats beat the Jacks 73-71 in Bozeman. Montana State outscored NAU in the second half, 47-31, en route to the win. Jacey Bailey led the Jacks with 24 points and eight rebounds and Khiarica Rasheed scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss. NAU will finish the regular season at home Wednesday night in the Skydome as they take on Portland State in the final game of the regular season. Tip time is at 6:30 p.m.
