Nakai, Palmer, Smith, Nez Winners Of The 2022 FlagCoco Spirit Awards

The 2022 FlagCoco.com Spirit Awards were awarded Tuesday night in Flagstaff. For Coconino High School, lineman Xavier Nakai and volleyball’s Elyce Palmer were given the award and for Flagstaff it was football and baseball player Spencer Smith and three-sport athlete Gracelyn Nez who won for the Eagles. The award is presented every year by FlagCoco.com owner Russell Woods, who is a Coconino alum. Flagstaff’s Marcus Salcido was awarded the John Ply Memorial Award for being the “Outstanding Eagle” in the Flagstaff City Championship Game in 2022. FlagCoco.com is dedicated to the football rivalry between the two schools, which contains past players and multiple records and stats.
