Multi-Agency Speeding Detail Net 60 Traffic Stops In Four Hours On Highway 89

A multi-agency traffic enforcement detail netted impressive results in the Quad Cities area on Tuesday. Between two and six p.m. officers from the Prescott, Prescott Valley and the Chino Valley police departments, along with Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies, participated in a speed and aggressive driver detail. Officers worked in the area of Willow Creek Road from Highway 89 onto Pioneer Parkway. The area has been littered with several traffic accidents over the past several weeks. Thirteen officers reported over 60 traffic stops, with 54 citations and 40 warnings issued. Of the citations, 20 were for speeding. Funding for the detail was provided by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
