Mountain Line Adjusts Policies For Riders During The Coronavirus Pandemic

The Mountain Line bus service is asking people if you don’t have to take the bus to get to work or use essential services, and want to make a non-essential trip, or have another mode of transportation, to “not use the bus right now.” The reason for the adjustment is to further promote social distancing. The Mountain Line has been running on reduced service levels and have installed several policies and procedures since March 21st. NAIPTA says all Mountain Line bus and paratransit services are fare-free to reduce driver exposure be removing the contact point presented with fare exchange. All Mountain Line buses are on a weekend schedule. Current Mountain Line passholders will be able to receive an extension on their pass for the period the system is fare-free. The new policies are in play until further notice. For more information, log onto mountainline.az.gov.
