Mother Arrested In California After Allegedly Kidnapping Two Prescott Valley Kids

California Highway Patrol officers arrested a woman who allegedly kidnapped two Prescott Valley kids Saturday afternoon. The victim reported her daughter had taken her vehicle without permission along with the two children, ages five and ten years old, at around 12:47 p.m. The victim is the custodial parent of the ten-year-old child. Prescott Valley Police learned the mother was possibly headed to California with the two children and requested assistance from California Highway Patrol. CHP located the stolen vehicle, suspect and children in Indio, California and safely recovered the children and vehicle. Thirty-six-year-old Erica Chantle Lunsford of Prescott Valley, remains in custody in California pending extradition to Arizona. She was charged with kidnapping and unlawful use of means of transportation.
