Monsoon Storms Dumped Heavy Rain On Flagstaff Monday, Flooding Portions Of Milton Road

Afternoon thunderstorms flooded a large portion of Milton Road in Flagstaff Monday. Storm waters filled the road from around the intersection of Milton and West Route 66 and also further south in front of McDonald’s and the Castle Rock Hotel, where employees had to pump water from the parking lot. The burn areas didn’t see heavy rain, but saw steady rain for most of the afternoon. There’s another good chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast today and through the weekend. If you are in flood zones always stay alert and if you come upon flooded roads, streams or washes, do not cross them.
