With under a month left in the 2021 Monsoon Season, most areas of Northern Arizona remain well-above average when it comes to rainfall. The National Weather Service says there are a few areas that have seen well over ten inches of rain this summer. The Flagstaff Airport has recorded just over ten-and-a-third inches of rain, which is over four-inches above normal. The Prescott Airport has had nearly eight-inches of rain, which is nearly three-inches above normal. The Sundog Water Plant in Prescott has seen nearly 12-inches of rain, which is nearly six-inches above normal. Williams has picked up 12-and-a-half inches of rain, which is over five-and-a-half inches above normal. Payson has seen the most rain at just over 13-inches, which is over seven-inches above normal. Three reporting stations, Window Rock, the Grand Canyon Airport and the Bright Angel Ranger station have actually seen below normal totals. However, all three stations are below normal by less than an inch. The Monsoon Season ends September 30th.
