There has been an outbreak of COVID-19 at Mingus Mountain Academy in Prescott Valley. According to the school’s website, Mingus Mountain Academy is a 120-acre residential treatment center for “emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls.” The Academy has released a statement saying they are addressing a cluster of cases on the campus. Over 60 people were tested at the Academy with 42 students and two staff testing positive for COVID-19. The school says no one is showing any severe symptoms of the disease thus far. All students and staff with positive results are currently in isolation and receiving care.
