McConnell Drive Reopens In Flagstaff, Sort Of

McConnell Drive below Interstate-17 in Flagstaff has reopened, sort of. ADOT has reopened the road connecting West Flagstaff to NAU during the day, which is just in time for move in day at NAU starting Thursday. Crews will continue working on the bridge this week from 10:30 p.m. until 6 a.m., which will close the road during that time. The off-ramp off I-17 will remain open. Work on the bridge is expected to last for the next several weeks as part of a two-year project to replace bridge surfaces and create a sidewalk on the north side of McConnell Drive. Work is expected to last until October of 2020.
