The suspect in connection with the incident where at least nine people were injured after a vehicle plowed into a group of bicyclists in Show Low Saturday morning. Show Low Police say the 35-year-old Shawn Michael Chock of White Mountain Lakes drove a F-350 Super Duty pickup into a large group of cyclists that were participating in the “Bike The Bluff” event, which reportedly involved a men’s group ages 55-and-older. The event is a 58-mile race that raises money for Mountain Christian School in Show Low. The accident took place in the 15-hundred block of the Deuce of Clubs at around 7:25 a.m. Soon after the incident, Chock then left the scene. Officers pursued Chock to the area of South 3rd Avenue and West Oliver where they engaged and shot him. Chock is in critical, but stable condition. Police say four victims are in critical condition, two are in critical but stable condition and at least two people walked-in for treatment. All injured are at Summit Healthcare’s emergency department, however at least one person has been airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital.
