Many Services Planned For The 18th Anniversary Of The September 11th Terrorist Attacks

Wednesday is the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America. On September 11th, 2001, four coordinated attacks were made on the World Trade Center in New York City, The Pentagon in Washington D.C. and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Flight 93 crashed after intending to fly to Washington, DC. The attacks killed nearly three-thousand people and injured thousands more. Memorials are taking place across Northern Arizona. The Healing Field, where there’s a flag for every person who died in the attacks, is located at the Prescott Valley Civic Center. In Winslow, there will be a ceremony at the “Remembrance Garden” where two steel beams from the World Trade Center are located. The service starts at 5 p.m. In Sedona, a ceremony will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the “9/11 Memorial Plaza,” where also two beams from the World Trade Center are located. In Flagstaff, there will be a memorial service at City Hall at 6:45 a.m. Never forget.
