Many wildfires around Northern Arizona are close to reaching full containment. The Rock Butte Fires have burned just over 800 acres total and are 80-percent contained near Paulden. The fire complex contains five separate fires, three of which are 100-percent contained. The Silent, Red Hat and Limestone fires and totally contained, while the Rock Butte is 85-percent contained and the Spring Fire is 75-percent contained. The Wyrick Fire is burning near Heber. The fire has burned over 75-hundred acres and is 76-percent contained. Fire officials say even though containment is high, smoke will still be seen from the fire due to dry fuels within the containment area. Crews are also working on the nearby West Chev Fire that’s burned nearly 12-hundred acres. At last report the Snake Fire is 60-percent contained and burned 130 acres. All of the fires were lightning caused.
