The 2021 Monsoon season is starting to look like one of the wettest ever in some areas of Northern Arizona. The National Weather Service says preliminary numbers are showing more than ten-inches of rain in many cities and towns. In Prescott at the Sundog Water Plant, they received 13.42 inches of rain, which was just over six-inches, or 184-percent of normal. It was the eighth-wettest Monsoon season on record at the plant. Flagstaff saw nearly eleven-inches of rain, which was 142-percent of normal. Payson was the winner so far after they received nearly 15-inches of rain this year at 14.74 inches, which makes it the wettest Monsoon season on record for the city. The Grand Canyon Airport actually saw a below normal Monsoon season. They received 4.73 inches of rain, which was just over six-tenths of an inch below normal. The Monsoon season ended on Thursday.
