A man is recovering after the car he was driving near Jerome, went off the road and down an embankment. Jerome Police say the accident happened on Highway 89A Monday. They say the car went over 120-feet in the air before landing and rolling around 400 feet down an embankment. Police say the man was going 65 miles an hour in a 20 mile an hour zone. First responders found the man semiconscious inside the car. The car came to a rest in rugged terrain, so a DPS helicopter was called in to help get him out of the vehicle. He was airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital and is listed in good condition. The incident is under investigation.
