Man Charged In Connection With The Deadly Bicycle Accident In Flagstaff, Also Charged With Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor

The man charged in the death of a bicyclist in southside Flagstaff is facing more charges, this time involving sexually explicit images of people under the age of 18 found on his cellphone. Fifty-eight year old Normand Cloutier was initially arrested earlier this year after he collided with a group of bicyclists at the intersection of Butler Avenue and Beaver Street back on May 28th. Twenty-nine-year-old Joanna Wheaton of Flagstaff was killed in the accident and five others were injured when the tow truck Cloutier was driving, ran a red light and hit the group. Cloutier was charged with death by a moving violation. Then during the investigation into the accident, the “Arizona Daily Sun” reports detectives found over seven-thousand sexually explicit images on his phone, most involved kids under the age of 15. Cloutier was charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He was arraigned on those charges earlier this month.
