A man from Kaibab Estates West was arrested Sunday for threatening census workers near Ash Fork. Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report from the workers of gun shots being fired at around 12:35 p.m. The workers say they were getting out of their vehicle to check an address, when they heard what they thought was a loud gun shot. They got back into the vehicle and left the area, but was blocked by another vehicle. They were contacted by 55-year-old Kory Beihn, who approached them carrying a shotgun. The workers identified themselves and left. Deputies arrested Beihn and he was booked into the Coconino County Jail on charges of threatening and intimidating. The investigation is ongoing.
