Man Arrested In Connection With A School Break-In In Peeples Valley

A man is in custody after he was arrested in connection with a school burglary in Peeples Valley. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Model Creek School back on August 2nd after an attempted burglary earlier in the night. As detectives reviewed security camera footage, a deputy recognized the man as 51-year-old Tony Schram of Kirkland. Deputies have been looking for Schram until Monday, when he was found in the Wilhoit area inside a local bar. He initially denied being involved in the break-in, but after confronted with evidence of his involvement he admitted to the crime. He told deputies he broke in because he needed to use the phone because his motorcycle broke down. During a search of the home where he was staying, deputies found meth and paraphernalia inside. Schram was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on burglary and drug charges. He remains in jail on a $16,500 dollar bond.
