A man has been arrested in connection with an arson investigation in Prescott. Prescott Police and Prescott Fire crews were called to a fire at the Gurley Street Grill in the 200 block of West Gurley Street Tuesday night at around 10:18 p.m. The fire was quickly put out, but evidence at the scene suggested it was arson. Just before the fire, two other fires were intentionally started just east of the restaurant at the Public House. Then Wednesday night, officers were called to the Safeway on the one-thousand block of Willow Creek Road where a man shoplifted alcohol. Authorities say 28-year-old Nicholas Dubuque from Washington state had a felony warrant out of the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a drug investigation in Cottonwood in August. Dubuque admitted he was the person on surveillance video starting one of the fires, but couldn’t remember doing it. He has been booked on numerous felony charges and remains in custody without bond.
