A man was arrested Saturday night after fleeing from police after officers attempted to make a traffic stop in Cottonwood. Police say officers tried to pullover a white 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer for driving 65 miles an hour in a 45 mile an hour zone at around 9:30 p.m. in the two-thousand block of State Route 260. When the officer attempted to make the stop the driver, Haden Creed Mundine, sped up and eluded police. When Mundine turned onto Prairie Lane, he lost control of the vehicle and traveled about 100 feet down an embankment. Mundine and a passenger fled the vehicle. Mundine was arrested a short time later and was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant. He was taken to the Yavapai County Detention Center and was booked on two counts of DUI, endangerment, unlawful flight from law enforcement and the warrant. There no injuries in the incident.
