Man Arrested After An Assault, Criminal Damage And Erratic Driving In Prescott Valley Monday

A man has been arrested on multiple charges after an incident Monday in Prescott Valley. Police were called to scene in the 64-hundred block of East Second Street at around 2:30 p.m. on reports of a vehicle driving erratically and “doing doughnuts” in the parking lot. The driver then drove the vehicle into a roll-up door of a business and attempted to break into the business. When he couldn’t, he fled the scene. The man caused around $75-thousand dollars damage to inventory inside and to the building. When officers arrived, they learned 29-year-old Jody Ryan Crispin had physically assaulted and strangled his girlfriend in the vehicle. She was able to escape the vehicle and run to a nearby business, but the driver gave chase almost catching her before the employees locked him out. Several hours later a K9 officer located Crispin on foot near Pecos Drive and Robert Road. When the K9 officer deployed the K9, the suspect immediately became compliant and was taken into custody. Crispin was charged with aggravated assault, endangerment, disorderly conduct, criminal damage per domestic violence, criminal damage and attempted burglary.
